This little dynamo of a girl read the most amazing poem telling her parents, her teachers, and her government how important it is to help girls. Don't dismiss us just because we are girls; we are a strong and vibrant part of the community. Help us stay in school, protect us and don't let us be abducted. This girl wanted some r-e-s-p-e-c-t! Boy, did she deserve it! Her four pages of beautiful poetry written in her local dialect had a wonderful lyrical quality. She was accompanied and at times drowned out by the drumming of a huge downpour on the corrugated roof of the school, as we all sat spellbound by her.
