Kate Roberts has traveled extensively for business and as a volunteer in support of NGO humanitarian programs. Two examples in regards to the latter: She participated in CARE's "Climb for CARE", scaling Mt. Kilimanjaro to raise awareness and funds for CARE's programs in Tanzania and Zanzibar. As a volunteer for Save the Children, she organized and led a women's empowerment delegation to Ethiopia and Uganda to meet with and support women community leaders. Exchanging ideas with local stakeholders and seeing development challenges first hand has led to an informed sensibility and a collaboratively oriented approach in her consultancy.
